Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Sales Technical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in bridging the gap between our engineering solutions and our clients’ needs, providing technical expertise during the sales process, and contributing to the development of innovative mechanical / civil engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and present appropriate technical solutions.
- Provide technical presentations and demonstrations of our mechanical / civil engineering products and services to clients and stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver proposals, bids and technical documentation to support sales efforts.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant data for project specifications.
- Engage in customer consultations, providing insights regarding mechanical / civil engineering design and construction practices.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of industry trends, product developments and competitive landscape.
- Liaise with engineers and project managers to ensure customer requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare presentations and provide training and/or technical support to customers as needed.
- Participate in industry events and networking opportunities to promote company’s technological capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Civil Engineering or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on sales or technical support.
- Proven experience in preparing technical documentation and proposals.
- Strong understanding of mechanical / civil engineering principles, practices and technologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Proficiency in engineering software (BIM, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ERP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Certifications:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is highly preferred.
- Certification in Sales Engineering or related field is a plus.
- Additional certifications relevant to mechanical / civil engineering (LEED AP, PMP) will be considered an asset.
