Concrete Repair

Concrete, though tough, may crack and crumble as a result of some environmental factors. Temperature and moisture sometimes reach such an extreme level that their presence can be felt even through the damage to concrete structures such as walkways and floors. Despite being a strong compression, it is relatively weak in tension.

However, the inclusion of steel reinforcement improves the tensile strength of the element, as a result of which its stress resistance increases significantly. In presence of water and oxygen, steel or any other metal element tends to corrode, and therefore, in almost all likely exposure conditions for steel-reinforced concrete, corrosion of steel and damage to the concrete structure is a potential hazard.

Trust Pro Contracting offers a wide range of high-performance concrete repair products and services for structural, protective and cosmetic repair applications. The intention is not only to address visible damage signs but address the possible deterioration as well to extend the service life and sustainability of the structure.

Surface Repair Method

Surface failures are the most common concrete damages. Whether due to the freeze-thaw action, aggregate pop-outs, or corroded reinforcing steel; the surface repair method is the perfect solution to such damages. The concrete surface restoration has to be carried out, when reinforcing steel is not encountered.

  1. Patching method
This method makes use of mortar with the consistency capable of being formed into a ball without sagging.
  2. Grouting method
Castable concrete is used in the grouting method for concrete repair. This Castable concrete is a highly flowable mixture with proper bond properties and low shrinkage.
  3. Shotcrete spray method
For huge concrete repair applications such as bridge or infrastructure repair, the shotcrete spray method is the best solution. Moreover, it can also be used for retaining walls, artificial rocks, rocks capes, slope stabilization, concrete domes, and swimming pools. While, cutting out the damaged concrete, replacing reinforcing steel, and replacing the concrete, this method is used.
  4. Injection
Trust pro is one of the recognized leaders in concrete injection technology. We have perfected the delivery of these systems over hundreds of projects. Some of the main grouting and injection solutions that we are involved with are cementitious grouting, epoxy injection, chemical grouting, and slab jacking.
  5. Overlays
With high-quality surface preparations, overlays can be used for concrete surface repair. It is an effective method to cover up surface problems.

Cathodic Protection

At Trust Pro Contracting, we provide appropriate systems to protect a wide range of metallic structures in various environments by using Cathodic protection. It is a technique used to control the corrosion of a metal surface by making it the cathode of an electrochemical cell.

Partial Depth Repair

Partial depth repair involves cutting around the edges of the damaged area without addressing the reinforcing steel, removing the damaged concrete portion and cleaning or replacing the reinforcing steel. Eventually, a repair mortar is placed.

From new build defects and age-related deterioration to everything in between, Trust Pro Contracting is your right partner for a concrete repair solution!

Wall saw

Wall saw

In a high-volume production environment, a wall saw is an ideal complement to a beam saw to cut the smaller batches of work. Wall saw is suitable for cutting practically all sheet materials, such as wood-based panels, plasterboard, plastics, Alucobond or aluminum panels.
Cutting and extending openings for doors and windows, openings in floors, in reinforced concrete, masonry and natural stone.

Facade and balcony renovation, sawing in tight spaces or where access is difficult.

Controlled demolition

In the controlled demolition industry, building implosion is the strategic placing of explosive material and timing of its detonation so that a structure collapses on itself in a matter of seconds, minimizing the physical damage to its immediate surroundings.

Diamond drilling

Diamond drilling is a type of core drilling and consists of a motorized power source with a diamond drill bit attached. Diamond can cut openings in a range of materials, such as concrete, metal and glass.

Concrete scanning

Concrete scanning is used to inspect concrete slabs or columns before coring or drilling in renovations and new construction projects. Scans are completed using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology for quick and accurate inspections. GPR is both safe and non-invasive; by using transmitted waves and their reflected signals, we can analyze the subsurface to detect embedded objects.

Concrete scanning is used to check:

  • Balconies
  • Beams
  • Bridges
  • Ceilings
  • Columns
  • Decks
  • Encasements
  • Floors
  • Pylons
  • Roofs
  • Slabs
  • Tunnels
  • Walls

WHY IS CONCRETE SCANNING IMPORTANT?

A concrete scan is critical to job site safety and can locate and identify objects within the concrete. This is done to prevent injury, damage, and additional costs during building.

A concrete scan is vital during construction to:

  • Help reduce personal injury risk
  • Simplify drilling, cutting, and coring
  • Minimize the risk of damage to utilities, rebar, post-tension cables, pipes, and conduits
  • Preserve the structural integrity of the concrete
  • Eliminate costly mid-project repairs
